Saturn in Pisces 2023-2025

By January 5, 2023June 13th, 2023Saturn

Saturn in Pisces 2023-2025: 2023 will bring some major shifts to our collective consciousness. One of these changes involves Saturn changing signs. Saturn changes signs once every 2-3 years. This year, Saturn is leaving Aquarius, where it has been since 2020, and entering Pisces.

Saturn Enters Pisces: Manifesting Dreams

Saturn enters the mutable water sign, Pisces, on March 7 2023, 5:34 am. He will not retrograde back into Aquarius. For some context of the kind of changes we will experience, let’s review Saturn’s recent tenancy in Aquarius.

Saturn has been in Aquarius since 2020. Saturn first entered Aquarius March 21, 2020, retrograded back into Capricorn July 1, 2020, and then re-entered Aquarius  Dec 17, 2020. Over the course of this time, we experienced the Covid-19 Pandemic.

We saw a significant uptick in the global Black Lives Matter movement and growth in local community initiatives in the face of governmental negligence. Additionally, we experienced anti-governmental uprisings, growing economic crisis, and all matters of political instability. Also, we saw a lot of change and progress with regards to gender identity, and non-binary and transgender awareness.

Transition from Saturn in Aquarius to Saturn in Pisces, 2023-2025Saturn as Co-Ruler of Capricorn and Aquarius

Interestingly, Saturn is the co-ruler of both Capricorn and Aquarius. Although we consider Capricorn to be the more picture-perfect representation of Saturnian temperament, Aquarius is also about structure. However, Aquarian social structure gathers around pure ideals, whereas Capricornian social structure is a more of a top-down construction.

Saturn in Pisces: Saturn Confused in Watery Pisces

Howevery, in watery Pisces, Saturn is a bit lost. That’s because Saturn likes to build in a methodical, slow and steady way. He puts his head down and gets to work, understanding the basic law of nature— that with enough steady work, discipline, and persistence, his efforts will build into tangible success.

Pisces’ Neptunian immateriality is basically antithetical to Saturn’s earthy desire to build. Saturn is related to Kronos, the Greek god of time, while minutes are elastic and subjective in Neptune’s realm. Neptune dreams and turns inward; Saturn sees itself in the context of the society and focuses outward.

Saturn in Pisces: Grounded Spirituality or Dissolution of Structure?

On one hand, we may see the materialization of our dreams. Saturn passing through Pisces can bring grounding in spiritual realms and practical applications of magical frameworks. We may experience a best-of-both worlds scenario. That is to say, we may find the ethereal is grounded and made trustworthy by the earthly, and the earthly is uplifted by magic, mysticism, and compassion.

On the other hand, we may experience the dissolution of long upheld-structures that we take for granted. Impending financial collapse comes to mind. Also, we may face the desire for escapism, or illusion and deception in social structures and government. Collective ambitions become less focused on the material and more focused on the spiritual. We may instate more structures that embrace the interconnectedness of humanity and all living things.

Saturn will be in Pisces until May 24, 2025, when he begins his 8-month long transition into Aries. Saturn won’t be in Pisces again until 2052.
