Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction in December 2020, Forming A “Wisdom Hot Degree”

Image of chart for Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in December 2020The Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in mid-December puts a new “hot degree” into place that will last through 2021. This one has a much better feel than the Pandemic Hot Degree of 2020.

Jupiter is all about hope, inspiration and positivity. Jupiter is the planet of promises, but the red giant is not so great at following through because he knows nothing of effort and responsibility. Fortunately, Saturn fills the gap because the ringed planet is all about sweat and putting in the hard work, while making the necessary sacrifices that will get you to your goal.

What makes these two such a great combination is the way they balance and foil each other: Saturn will not let Jupiter run away from responsibility and Jupiter will not let Saturn fall into a gloomy pit of criticism and judgment. Instead, Jupiter and Saturn combine to make us wise through a process of making promises, then following through and delivering on them.

Together these planets form the 20-year Social Responsibility cycle, and they will absolutely set the tone for 2021. Wherever this conjunction (which happens at 0º Aquarius) falls in your chart will point to an area of life where you are feeling hopeful and positive about what you COULD do in the coming year (due to Jupiter’s influence), while you are also feeling that you SHOULD actually do so (that’s Saturn’s influence) and finish what you start—especially if you’ve put your reputation or word of honor on the line.

In the video below, Jamie and Julia explain the Wisdom Hot Degree in detail, including how these Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions come in “elemental waves,” how long this one’s influence will last and how to handle it.

This “Wisdom Hot Degree” will affect us throughout 2021 until it expires at the end of December. For more about this, check our main pages for Saturn and Jupiter, which have a lot more detail about how these cycles flow–including important dates when dramatic events are most likely to happen.
