Your Natal Mercury and Your Intelligence
Natal Mercury is your chart’s key to intelligence…
Mercury in your chart is the Thinker, Learner and curious, questioning Communicator in you. Thus your natal Mercury’s sign and house contain worlds of information about how you think and what ideas interest you the most. Additionally, this archetype contains clues to your communication style and how you learn best. In order to fully harness your intelligence, understanding your Mercury is key!
Your natal Mercury tells you these things:
Natal Mercury describes how you think—and what you think about. For example, are you a methodical or adventurous thinker? Are you curious or retentive? Does your mind go deep or broad?
Secondly, your natal Mercury speaks to your style of communicating your thoughts, and how you receive and process ideas. How do you articulate your thoughts? Do you blurt or are you more inclined to ponder? Do you keep your thoughts to yourself or share them widely? Are you a talkative chatterbox or more of the silent type?
Thirdly, your natal Mercury describes how you learn best. Thus, you’re more likely to think concretely if you have Mercury in an Earth sign (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn), while you think more intuitively if you have Mercury in a Water sign (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces). And you will learn well in the abstract if you have Mercury in an Air signs (such as Gemini, Libra or Aquarius). And if you have Mercury in a Fire sign, you’ll need inspiration and excitement to learn, such as an enthusiastic teacher who really puts on a show (the Fire signs are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius).
Fourthly, your Mercury shows how to discover your own authentic Voice. Understanding your Mercury’s Element and sign can unlock your natural style of articulation. It can also help you discover the message you came here to bring. Thus you can more fully express yourself in speech or in writing. Your Mercury can even offer clues to the best methods, techniques and schedule for getting writing done.
And finally, your natal Mercury gives valuable clues to your best work environment. The Element your Mercury is in dictates the kinds of organizational systems and task-processing methods that help you be fully efficient, both at work and at home.
