Solar Eclipse in Aries, April 2023:
Volcanic Actions, Tempered by Sympathy
The total Solar Eclipse in Aries occurs at 29º on April 19, 2023, 9:13 PM PT. This month, the conflicted New Moon falls in gutsy Aries. Moreover, all recent Eclipses have been falling along the Nodal axis in Taurus and Scorpio. As a result, we are collectively learning the value of grounding, simplicity and stability as opposed to habitual passion and drama.
This feisty New Moon conjuncts the Taurus North Node, emphasizing and encouraging peace. Subsequently, we will feel a strong push and pull between the stubborn nature of Taurus and the controlling nature of Scorpio. The square to Pallas Athene in Cancer suggests difficulty with incorporating intuition and emotional sensitivity into our strategies of going after our desires. Melded with Jupiter, this New Moon does not want to be stopped. Additionally, the square to Pluto may introduce a flavor of undue domination and tyranny as we allow our desires to run roughshod over others.
Luckily, Vesta in Taurus is very close to the North Node, providing some sense of sacred stability. Thus, we can lean into focusing on good values to guide us in our overblown excitement. Meanwhile, Saturn harmoniously aspecting the North and South Nodes provides the anchor of integrity and maturity to guide our actions.

Solar Eclipse in Aries: Seeing our Shadow in the Outer World
Remember, a Solar Eclipse is likely to bring up marked external events. Therefore, the key to working with Solar Eclipses is to keep an eye out for how we are projecting our shadow onto people and situations around us. (Conversely, a Lunar Eclipse eclipse is likely to to be experienced internally and subjectively.)
You may notice events occurring within the week surrounding the eclipse (up to a few days before or after). On top of that, you may notice the reverberations of an eclipse for several months after its occurrence.
